2/17   We had to leave our little paradise today. They were all booked up.  We found another cute place, but not so tropical looking, just down the street.  This is because we ended up staying an extra day.  This morning we took a 2 hour walk to where the 3 countries actually come together.  It was a very nice park area. Stopped for sandwich and dinner groceries on the way home. Turned out we spent $7 ea for lunch and dinner. Can't beat that.  On our walk we saw where a car must have driven through the guardrail and over a pretty big bank. Scarry road. We also saw were a ferry barge must have sunk along the shore and they were pumping out the water.  The boys were pretty interested in watching. Us not so much. Along the path there was a very small waterfall close enough to the sidewalk where we could cool off. Really pretty. Can't walk too far without water.  We came across a retaining wall about 100ft. Long and 10 ft. tall that was made out of wooden carved panels that depicted historical scenes.  Must have taken someone a really long time to do...beautiful. I think I am ready to leave the heat behind and head south where it will be just a little cooler.
Last night's adventure was very nice. Ate out locally and then sat at an outside tango bar where a 3 piece band played tango music, but the dance show was cancelled due to the fact it was done outside and it rained just previously. We did find out that tonight there will be a carnaval parade. Fun!
The boys are napping in the hammocks, and I am going to grab my book until it's time for dinner. Right now we are on vacation. Most of the time we are on a "adventura". That has become our mantra when it's hot, or something doesn't go according to plan.
